LOGLINE:

Involution is a film about the birth pangs of an emergent Ecological Self—one whose mind is simultaneously in the body and out in the world.

THE PREMISE:

Why is the environmental crisis seemingly intractable? What is the relationship between our calamitous impact on the ecosystem and the social and political unrest set loose in the world?

Involution begins as psychology steps out of the consulting room and into the world, and we start to grapple with the notion that psyche may not be confined to human brains, but is actually the size of the Earth.

This is your body, your greatest gift, pregnant with wisdom you do not hear, grief you thought was forgotten, and joy you have never known.

There’s more to know about the self, or rather more self to know, than our personal history reveals. The core of the mind is the ecological unconscious.
